Lindane Bill Does Not Pass NY Assembly
April 11, 2006
A bill that would ban the sale, use, and prescription of any product containing hexachlorocyclohexane, commonly known as Lindane, did not pass through the New York State Assembly yesterday. An assembly member argued that lindane is a prescription drug and not a pesticide. One assembly member who originally voted yes changed his vote when he realized the bill would pass through.
