No Lice In Schools

Dear editor, I thought you might want to let the residents of Napa who have children in the public school system know that the Napa Valley Unified School District is trying to pass “Board Policy 5141.33, Head lice revision.
The policy has been revised to reflect the opinion of the state Department of Health to delete the no-nit policy because students are losing an excessive amount of instructional time.” I don’t know about you, but having children come to school with nits or lice does not sound good to me. The only way we can fight this is if parents get involved and go to the board meetings to fight for what is right for our children.
